For our music video, we need actors and actresses that would suit the role and fit the genre of the song. This is one of the most crucial aspects of creating a successful music video because it could look amazing or look unprofessional. The actors and actresses represent what is being promoted. This means we have to find people who will carry out this job to a high standard. Due to there being vocals, a guitar and drums in the song, we thought it would be a good idea if there were three people to represent each instrument. Due to the vocals being sung by a female, we needed to find a female actress. We need to take into consideration a few elements. The first one is the availability of the person. This is because if they are only availabile for a small amount of time, we will be put under pressure and we are more likely to not be able to create the music video. Secondly, we need to consider the suitability of the role for the person because if they look like the completely wrong person for the video, then it will not be appealing to the target audience and they will not fit the genre. Also, we need to consider the amount of talent that they have. For example, if we gave somebody who did not know how to play guitar, the role of being the guitarist, it would look fake and unprofessional. Therefore, it would be easier if we found actors and actresses that were familiar with the instruments they are playing already.

To start off with, we needed to find a female vocalist. We could not think of anybody that would suit the role because the band itself (London Grammar) and the music is different from other types of music, such as pop or R&B. However, we thought Vicky would suit this role because she wears clothes that the indie pop target audience would wear. Plus she loves London Grammar, which meant she already knew the lyrics to the song. Secondly, we needed to find a guitarist. We thought of a boy named Tom originally as he already plays the guitar and he is studying music, however, he was not available. Therefore, we used a girl named Rhiannon Aylward. She was not familiar with playing the guitar, however, she oozed confidence and she was very keen to learn. Her appearance also suits the genre of the music, which is very helpful because it makes her fit in with the band.  Lastly, we needed to find a drummer. Typically, we thought a male would suit a drummer because they are more aggressive and show emotion when hitting the drums. We thought of a boy named Wilson, who already has a lot of experience with playing the drums as well as other various instruments such as the guitar and piano. This would make it look like he is actually playing the drums rather than executing the performance unprofessionally. s.
