Masking Effect/Linear Wipe
To develop my skills before I create my media music video project, I decided to learn how to create a mask using the "linear wipe" on Premiere Pro. This meant putting the same person, twice, in one video. Since I am able to do so, this gives me an advantage when it comes to making my music video. For example, I may use this technique in my music video without having to research how to do it, which would take up more time.
The masking effect can be used on Premiere Pro and it simply allows you to combine two clips together as one, meaning that you can play two separate clips at the exact same time without there being a blatant divide between the two clips. To show this effect clearly, I recorded two people having a conversation and then made them act as though someone had entered the room. I then recorded the girl in the centre of the table entering the room.
