Inspiration for Advert

Lana Del Rey's 'The Open Road Tour' advertisement poster has been an inspiration for our won advert. We really liked the angle that this shot was taken at Lana Del rey is looking downwards slightly at the camera and she is pouting her lips whilst wearing a light red lipstick. We used these ideas but instead of Vicky having her eyes open we decided the advery would look better with them closed. This goes against the usual requirements for an advertisement as in most advertisements the artist should be making eye contact with the viewer, however, we thought it would suit our Indie genre better if her eyes were closed as it is different and gives off mysterious vibes to the viewers. In Lana Del Rey's advert, we liked that her name was written near top in large capital letters so we also used this idea for our own advert, however, we used a different typeface and made it smaller, we also put the name of the band directly at the top of the advert. We also centralised the name of the album and its release date at the bottom of the advert like Lana Del Rey had done with her tour name and commencement date.
